Bleakness Muthathi

Bleakness Muthathi
I don't know who made the statement that "Change is good" . Probably different perspective make this statement true. But sometimes I wish if I could stop the time.Till now we were three who always went to anywhere and everywhere. But form now I have to on my own.Aramis and Athos both got engaged and family persons doesn't have the luxury to go everywhere at anytime. So I am going to miss some great snap from now, I don't have a camera and eye to look the object in picture way. Going to lose all the sudden fun on the road .One I remember while we were coming from nandi hills  we went far to hydrabad instead of bangalore and we had to chase Aramis and Athos to stop them, but they thought we are giving them race and took more speed. Finally when we all realized there is something wrong on the mid of the way we laughed like mad. We doze police many times in all our journey. Even once we made catastrophic when we asked same person over and over same direction on different place. At last that guy gone crazy and told I am the guy whom u asked 5 min before the same question. We had lot of this kind of  situation, At the midnight on the highway bike stopped without light, two bikes goes two way one to right one to wrong . So many others we have.
Anyway from this part it started my solo bike journey.
Lets come to this point. Last one month I was trying to convince Aramis and Athos to go to somewhere because its already more than 5 months we are stuck in our room. But as I told they are fixed asset now. So Friday night I thought I should go alone and made the place final "Muthathi". This time I searched the route in google and found that it is almost 100 KM from Bangalore. At first I was thoughtful for sometimes because for a single more than 200 KM journey may be a hectic. But then thought ok lets have a look. So I prepared a note how to go Muthathi and Cavery fishing point. I took note the names of the road, the turns where I have to take rest and where I have to take turns. But I was sure that this is not going to be a easy one.I had to go forward and backward many times. But then thought ok , This is going to be a new experience.
Next day morning I packed some dry foods , water, charged my mobile battery full and kicked the bike. The initial road was known and smooth. Till Kanakpura road. But after kanakpura road I need to take some turns and I missed them. So I was roaming for some time . I decided to wait for sometime until the mobile signal come and finally it came. It clearly showed me  I am on opposite direction.
So I change my path. In short if you are alone and going somewhere you need to be more careful rather than enjoying the nature. Otherwise at the end you will find yourself in some other place where you never thought of at the starting of the journey. And always believe the local people and if possible give them lift in your bike, Then they can guide you some part of your road.
Anyway after a 6 hours long journey I reached Muthathi. Last 10 Km journey is through jungle and hills, and there are clear evidence that wild animals are easily visible and avail\able  on your road . Because I have spotted elephants and deer on this journey. This last part of the road is pathetic and will take your bone. Somehow I managed to reach the bank of the cauvery river. This is called Muthathi.
It's a river bank and many people enjoying there bath , many playing water sports and many are busy to catch fishes. It seems like catching fish is so easy here and their size is also covetous. I guess this place is used for local people to immersion of idols because there are lot of half drowned idols present in the river. I spent a quite few hours at the bank of the river and rejuvenating our last few trips. I know there is cauvery fishing camp is just 5 min away and Bheemeshwari is just 10 min distance. At Bheemeshwari river you can enjoy river rafting, fishing and spending time with just doing nothing.
Its almost evening and I thought I should start now for Bangalore, because this time also I may miss some turn which may take another 5 hours to reach Bangalore. So I started again. This part was pathetic. I was just thinking when this road will finish and I will take some rest. Around 10 PM  I reached home and  felt happy that I have finished my first solo trip successfully.
P.S: The road is good and beautiful. You can enjoy it if you have nothing to worry .. :)

Unruffled Yelagir

unruffeled yelagiri
One fine day I was just surfing the picture of golden temple in net. Athos was cooking something in kitchen , I asked him "Have you ever been to golden temple?"  As expected answer is negative but with a strange question. "Which golden temple you are asking? Amritsar or Vellore?" . I was surprised , "Two Golden Temple!!. Let me check". And google said,  there is a golden temple at Vellore.  I pinged the link to Aramis, "Should we go to this place?" and as expected quick reply came, "yes.....".

We have to travel  more than 200 Km distance and this time we are not in mode of  biking , moreover we want to spend 2 days at somewhere outside Bangalore. Only Golden temple is not enough for 2 days.Goggle suggest one nearby place ---"Yelagiri". Everybody surprised. What kind of place is this? never heard about this name. So we decided to go here. As usual we started our plan for Yelagiri and Vellore golden temple and we failed again. Planning is not our cup of tea. Anyway we booked a cab for this 2 day trip and next Saturday morning we started the journey.

We took the tumkur highway . In this trip we all are new. We are in unknown route. Our driver is also new and its a new route for him. Even the car is also new. So no worry, nobody know the route to Yelagiri. Our plan is, if we find Yelagiri before lunch then we will settle down at  any hotel there and  we will take direction for golden temple. The main difference between bike and cab journey is , in bike you can stop anywhere and everywhere. But in cab you have to half depend on your driver. This road is amazing, lots of ups and downs through hill and road is silky smooth. Our driver was very happy because he can press the accelerator as much as he want. After a 4 hours journey we somehow came to foothill. As usual we lost route many times. But still now we can see one signboard "welcome to Yelagiri"..

Before entering Yelagiri you can find different shops with very beautiful handcraft things. Like pillow , bedsheets and these all are with different  texture, different from south Indian normal pattern. Anyway we are not interested in shopping. We started hiking up in search of some hotels or rest house. At the top of the hill we find there are only few hotels present near the main market which has only 15-20 shops. Yelagiri is basically a very small hill top ,where it has  few hotels, very few shops . Main attraction what we find here is, this place has no noise, no pollution, no mobile tower so you can enjoy your life at peace at least for two days. Just imagine 2 days without mobile phone. incredible peace in life.
We found a decent room at very nominal cost, took some rest and got the direction for golden temple. We started for golden temple around 3 PM as it open at 5.  I thought may be like other temple it also have its top with gold platted. Till I entered the temple I was in this impression. The temple is neat and clean with 300/- ticket. Picture is prohibited in the temple so Aramis's lenses are no use here. The temple is relatively new probably 10 15 years old. But the main thing is the full temple is made of GOLD!!!!!!!!!! Can you imagine in a country where half of the population is under poverty level there one so called  god man has taken this area and building a temple with gold. I have no idea it spread in how many acre , but can tell you its a real big area. Sometimes I fell perplexed , how people become so foolish to believe these so called god and donate such huge money. sometimes I think this is real India .. outside of the temple I saw many poor people waiting for there turn to get some food and inside there is a temple of gold. People showing there worship not only by giving there money but also with CREDIT CARD, DEBIT CARD!!! I know seeing is believing. So please visit once this place where you can see lots of debit credit cards, currency is just wasting in the name of god. Really this is a crazy India or I should say incredible India.
We got 300/- ticket so they offered us one free puja with cow. I was not ready but then think lets see another face of India.  This city has one of the best hospital in India, it has IT hub, some KM away it has worlds one of the powerful IT hub, but still worship of cow is happening here. ok lets see. They bought one cow and for half an hour tortured her in the name of the god. That poor animal is showing the pain in its face but who cares. There everybody is earning there blessing from god by torturing that poor animal. Jai ho India. Sometimes I wonder people shout about black money of politicians in swiss bank and blah blah those same people give donation and huge money to these so called god man and they made this kind of shit. Nobody ask  these god men from where they get this money.
Ok back to topic. The temple is made of golden brick. It is situated in between a lake. The best time to see the temple is from dawn when lights are just started blinking on the temple and your eyes will be blind if you stare for long time.
This picture is taken from internet.

We started from the temple at 8 PM, from vellore to Yelagiri there is a place called Ambur. Yes correct .. the famous Ambur biriyani. We packed them for our dinner. Frankly I don't like the taste of Ambur Biriyani, but Athos and Aramis gobbled it like they were waiting for this moment from their birth!
Next day morning we started exploring Yelagiri by foot, you don't need car to finish Yelagiri. We roam here and there saw some temple , one lake and mostly take rest for the day. After lunch we started from Yelagiri towards Bangalore because next day we have to fix all bugs again.

P.S - Don't expect to see much at these places, but if you want to take discontinuous rest for some days you can visit this place once.
